PI "DAY" CONTINUES AT CCES: Ask any Clear Creek Elementary School Lion, Pi Day has been dubbed the "best day of the year!" Today, we saw no shortage of robots, life-size bubbles, Oobleck, green screen fun, homemade ice cream, and build-it-yourself pita pizza courtesy of our amazing School Nutrition staff! Every station held a STEM or STEAM lesson! Our Adairsville High School Magnet students helped with many of the activities, too!

WHIZ KIDS: The Math Department at Georgia Highlands College hosted its first Math Fest competition, and nearly 100 of our fourth and fifth grade students from Adairsville, Clear Creek, Emerson, Kingston, and White Elementary schools showed up and showed out! They answered dozens of math questions in the Individual and Group Math-Bating events!

IT'S BAAAAAACK: Get ready! Registration for this year's FREE SUMMER STEM CAMP will open on March 18 at 6:00 p.m. SHARP! It'll be held in Cartersville at the Bartow County College and Career Academy June 17-20. By popular demand, this camp will be all day, 8:30-2:30 and include drones, robotics, virtual reality, esports, and more! The camp is available to all students CURRENTLY in grades 3-6 in Bartow County Schools.

REMINDER: Tomorrow, March 12, will be an Early Release Day! Elementary schools dismiss at 11:30 a.m. and middle/high schools dismiss at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served, and buses will run on an early dismissal schedule. After School programs will continue to operate.
EDUCATOR JOB FAIR: Record turnout for our Educator Job Fair, which is another testament to our awesome schools! It wasn't all business either, Emerson Elementary and Woodland Middle received system awards for the creative FLAIR that they brought to the FAIR!
A TEAM AWARD: Superintendent Page and system leaders present Cass High School and its World Language Singletons collaboration team, which consists of Lailee Long, Katherine Shofner, and Lori Sutton, with the most prestigious award given by the District, the A-Team Award!

Through observations and conversations with each team member, it is evident this team uses the PLC process to work together with collective responsibility for student learning. They ensure a guaranteed and viable curriculum for all their students, use common formative assessments to monitor student learning, use common assessment data to improve teaching and learning practices, and support the RTI process by providing systematic interventions and extensions for all students.
Lailee Long, Katherine Shofner, and Lori Sutton will now present at an upcoming school board meeting, New Teacher Institute, and serve as role models for future A-Teams throughout our school system.
