Graduation Ceremony Basics:

  • Mandatory Graduation Practice at 9:00 AM in Thursday, 5/16 in Stadium

    • Breakfast provided at 8:30 at Stadium

  • Graduation Ceremony: Monday, 5/20

    • Graduates must arrive in assigned rooms by 6:30 (D Hallway)!

    • Graduates cap designs must comply with guidelines found at https://5il.co/1s6i1

    • Proper Dress Required (see column to the right)

    • Remember to bring cords, stoles, etc.

    • Students must remain respectful and dignified throughout the ceremony. NO behavior that violates the BCSS Code of Conduct will be tolerated.

    • Audience:

      • Ceremony begins at 8:00 PM

      • Gates open for spectators at 6:00 PM

      • No noisemakers are allowed. BCSS police and security will confiscate these items and spectators may be asked to leave if they cannot comply. ALL students' names need to be heard and recognized.

        • No intoxication or disorderly conduct will be tolerated

Handicap Assistance

Guests who need handicapped assistance have two options: they may enter at the main gate and can be seated (in wheelchairs if necessary) at the top of the stands behind the railing OR they may enter by the Field House and be seated on the track. In the event that a handicapped or elderly guest chooses to sit on the track, only ONE additional guest will be allowed with that person. Seating on the track will be very limited, and we will only allow those guests needing special accommodations to have this option

Dress Code for Seniors at Graduation:

Proper attire must be worn under the robe or students will not be permitted to participate.

  • Sunglasses are not allowed.

  • Graduates may NOT wear sneakers, or any other “novelty” type shoes or sandals.

  • Students will not be allowed to wear their hats “cocked back” on their heads. Hair should be styled in a manner that allows the hat to sit comfortably on the head.

  • Ladies – Dark dress or dress pants and dark dress shoes. Jewelry should be kept simple. Necklaces must be worn inside the collar. High heals are NOT advisable, as they are difficult to walk in across the field.

  • Gentlemen – Dark slacks (black preferred), dress shirt, dark tie, dark dress shoes and socks.

Parking

  • Parking will be severely limited. Guests should carpool as much as possible.

  • Graduates will park in the student parking lot. After 7:00 p.m., any additional parking in the student parking lot will be reserved for guests but will fill up quickly.

  • Once all campus parking spaces are filled, security will direct overflow.
